Hello all! I once again return to the wonderful world of the Blogosphere! I would like to apologise for my sudden disappearance (once again) as University work has as usual taken over my life with the comming of filming for my major project, involving hours of preparation, and over 10 days of constant filming from 5 am wakeups to 1 o clock bedtimes. However now that that has been finished and I slowly edge myself back into my normal life, photography and my little corner of the Interwebs. This little block has also prevented me from doing much photography also, leaving little to bring you up to date on.
My last substantial shoot, was one I did in Egham for the Royal Holloway SU. They recently did their very first Bollywood play and as part of the promotions I did some photoshoots depicting some of the characters. A lot of them were group shots which I'm quite proud of considering this is my first proper group shot, I was able to light them quite well.
As for the rest of the shots I stuck to a pretty basic setup, of two lights, both with brollies. I had one low, and one High pointing respectively at the subject on either side of them.

Valentine's Shoot
Well considering my track record, a day and a bit late is not bad, not bad at all. And so here are my images representing yet another of Capitalism's forms of extortioning and controlling us through further Ideas of Consumerism. Albeit it is still a fun Idea and a good excuse for a pink, flowery theme. and so with further ado, the images

Double update
Well here I am yet again with another fun filled blogpost maintaining the regularity of irregularity that makes this blog special. Just as it seems that the blog is about to curl up and die from inactivity here I come returning to the scene with yet another over written post trying to mention everything I have to say without boring my fellow fans. (those of you that do actually bother to read what I write). Now just because I haven’t been blogging (a nasty habbit I hope to extinguish once Juggling Dissertation and pre production become a bad dream) doesn’t mean I haven’t been processing and shooting as you will clearly see below the latest images from my last studio work.
This one may have been a bit overexposed with the light but I still love the overall look of the image :D
After that though I did manage to join the London Graphics and Photo meetup group to go out on a night of shootin around London producing some of my more impressive shots in a while :D. I am very pleased and hope to maintain or improve upon the standard.
Of course X-mas season is coming up (meaning I need to shoot xmas lights and head out to hyde park to shoot the xmas thingy mabobber), but for those of you still looking for that uber last minute x-mas gift I will be making available a photobook with some of my Best Images, and a Calendar to take you into the new year which will be available from my deviantart page for purchase.

Quick announcement/Casting Call
Hey to all! just posting out a quick announcement! I'm currently looking for any Models who mighte be interested in doing some head-makeup trials/shots, Elemental themed shoots and a saree shoot.
for the head-makeup shoot any female models are fine
For the elemental shoots (i.e fire, forest/green, ice, sun) I would prefer a blonde, redhead and/or oriental model
For the saree shoot of course I'm looking for an asian continental model (i.e. Indian, Pakistan, Sri Lankan, etc)
If you're interested just drop me a line, email, comment or post it on my wall to let me know availability. You never need to have done modeling before.
Also if anyone does makeup or styling and is interested in helping out in the project feel free to drop me a line. These shoots are for portfolio purposes so all those involved will get copies of the images for their own portfolio, and if any further uses are found, particularly commercial you will be informed :)
Hope to hear from lots fo you soon!!!

Wet ´n´wild
I´m sure many a photographer out there has gone the extra length to get that image they so desperately want to have just right, wether its trekking through rain, hail, sleet and snow in alaska to caputre polar bears, or hanging upside down from a lamp post so that your subject is not framed by other people taller than you when youre hundreds of meters away, or running around avoiding local security and attempting to setup, shoot and take down an on location fashion shoot before they return, a true photographer will do what me must for that image.
Although my stories dont quite compare, i think beeing chest deep in the sea, in one hand my flash gun, wrapped around my neck so that i can support my telephoto lens and camera on my elbow to shoot shoot and light my model on some rocks in the sea deffinetly constitues as a dangerous adventure!
Of course most people at this point start thinking what kind of a nutjob runs into the sea with over a thousand dollars worth of equipment. Well my only answer to that would be a photographer. And for the most part, if things go as planned (or even if they dont) the pictures that end up as a result of the shoot will have any photographer tell you that the risks are always worth the picture.
(i´m still processing the pictures i took on the rock, but i will deff include one in my next post.)
The picture below was another one that i took on the beach, however there was an old house nearby with some interesting grafiti which i thought would contrast well with the outfit my model had chosen, although more details on that in my next post)
And as for the lighting the top image was natural light from teh rising sun (this shot was done at 8am)
and the one below i had a canon flash right next to the model camera right
and a flash next to me camera left toned down to just complemetn the natural light as fill.
